Exactly. Initially I was hesitant about revealing that I was diabetic, because even though I ate carefully before and tried to stay fit, I like to cook. But it runs in my family (my brother was just diagnosed), so it’s something I’ve been dealing for awhile.
Ironically, for awhile the posters who carped the most when I mentioned food ("you sure you can eat that ?") were friends. Tbf, once I posted my feeling that such comments weren’t helpful, those who were actually friends backed off and trusted me to be on top of things. 😊

@bijouxbroussard That's great and some of it is just not knowing, I get that.
What, I've really resented is that one sister who wanted to advise me and lecture me on my diet while she wasn't even trying to manage hers.
And that's her choice ,but didn't like her lecture me that's how I felt and I know she would have a hissy fit if I lectured her .
