🎶And the feeling that it's all a lot of oysters, But no pearls🎶

Today's been bad.
Replaced my CGM
The cgm sensor wasn't working,so I called dexcom; the sensor is getting replaced.
Took off old sensor.
Put on the second sensor incorrectly,so my error, no replacement.
The third time was, well successful.
I was going to say a charm, but there's been nothing charming about this day.
My numbers have been erratic for 2 days and since it's a weekend I can't get a hold of my endocrinologist; I had to leave a message via the portal.
Very depressed.
I don't want to Diabities today.
I don't have the knowledge to control this roller coaster.
The piece of the puzzle that is missing, my labs,
I can't get done, as I've said before, until March 16th and then they're not getting read until March 22nd.
Burnout is real and I am feeling it today.

I'm sorry you're having those issues. CGMs can have their problems. My doctor said false low readings is a common problem reported with both Dexcom and Freestyle Libre.

I have problems with my Freestyle Libre giving me false low readings but only on my left arm intermittently. I wasted 2 sensors figuring out the problem when I was getting obviously constant false low readings. Between Abbot my doctor and my own experimenting it was determined after I had experienced an extreme weight loss the subcutaneous tissue in that area of my arm had thinned out too much for the sensor to work reliably. I have since only installed sensors on my right arm even though I've regained the weight and more. I now have a fear of wasting expensive sensors. Because of my experimenting I had to purchase extra sensors online for about $100 a piece. That's my copay for 6-7 sensors depending on which month the is fulfilled.

@Gibbon
I pay $80 a for 8 sensors

@Justmeraeagain Yup I know Dexcom is a little less expensive than Freestyle but this is the unit Humana supplies it's not like I have a choice. I am however surprised they haven't upgraded me to the Libre 3. When I was using meters they kept me updated with the newest model. Aetna did the same when I had insurance through my employer before I went on Medicare.

@Gibbon it's supposed to be the best, but I do have troubles with it losing contact with my phone app.
I have heard good things about the Libre.

@Justmeraeagain I studied them both since I received mine 2 years ago. They both have their pros and cons. Yours is supposedly more accurate than mine but equal to the Libre 3. I only use the reader not my phone. But unlike yours keeping contact with your phone the reader has to be held close to the sensor. Yet now and then it gives a message contact lost scan sensor which makes no sense. I never take the reader out of the house when I leave. And that message never greats me. It certainly has nothing to do with being near the sensor when it's not being used. Oh lifes mysteries. I'm too lazy to investigate this one because it's easy to resolve.
