To my fellow diabetics (t1 or t2):

Do you ever notice your numbers spiking after an intense workout or exercise session ? Are there any tricks to curb that, like maybe drinking a lot of water before testing again ?
(I’m not insulin dependent)

Do you take metformin, or any other kind of meds to control it?
@TheSentinel Yes, I do take Metformin.
@bijouxbroussard They had me on that for a few years, and my blood sugars kept going up, usually somewhere between 300 and 500. So they kept upping my dosage. And my weight had dropped really low. They finally figured out that I was allergic to it, but by that time from the neuropathy, I've lost most of the feeling in my feet, and my hands aren't much better. I've also got the retinopathy in both eyes that have required several laser procedures. Now I'm on insulin and jardiance, any my a1c has dropped from 13.9 to 6.5.
I guess my long winded comment is just a cautionary tale. Let your doctor know any oddities or changes in your diabetic control, because the damage it does doesn't go away.
@TheSentinel I will, but she’s been monitoring me pretty closely. So far metformins been working okay. This has just been an occasional thing that I noticed,
