I Have Diabetes

So far my biggest concerns have been with the numbers being too high. How low do the numbers drop when it’s worrying and what do you do ?

@bijouxbroussard the lowest low I've had recently was 64 ...the weird thing was I didn't feel low, i felt fine ...i think it's scary to not feel it because hen you can't treat it in time ...i have two glucose tablets and a small snack ,it usually helps ...last nigh was rough ...I couldn't keep my numbers up enough to be considered in a good range ...ugh ...

@SW-User Do you take insulin ? So far my lowest has been 79, but my highest was 169 recently and I couldn’t figure out why, I’d been exercising like crazy and mostly eating veggies and lean protein.

@bijouxbroussard I am taking insulin .. from what my doctor explained to me your pancreas just runs out of steam

@SW-User Yes. I take Metformin. I’m trying to put off taking insulin for as long as I can. Time is not on my side. Most of the diabetics in my family don’t make it past 60.
I’m 58. 🤷🏽‍♀️

@bijouxbroussard my pancreas hates me ..I tried putting insulin off as long as I could but no matter what i did it wasn't enough
