I Have Diabetes

Last summer I had a stroke, and 2 days later was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I am not heavy, and have no blood relatives that are diabetic. I was just lucky I guess. The stroke was caused by a birth defect in my heart I didn't know I had. I changed my diet and lost a few pounds, and my a1c is now 5.7. I had to try to get more active while getting my right side to work again. But it all worked.
