Trying to decide when to use my home Covid test.

I woke up today with a cough and runny nose. A few days ago I had to buy a new phone and the guy that waited on me was coughing and had a stopped up nose. I had a mask on, but I had pulled it down a couple of times because he couldn’t understand me with the mask. I have a home test, but don’t know whether to do it now or wait to see if it gets worse. It could be just a simple cold.

@Doomflower but isn’t there some kind of time frame to test because if you test too early it will be a false negative from what I understand. I just started showing symptoms today.

@Mardrae Mine didn’t show positive until 3 or 4 days of symptoms but others showed on day 1.

If you wait it would still be a good idea to isolate yourself. Even if it’s just a cold no one else wants it.

Or you could test both today and tomorrow .
