A wise man commenting on the CDC's mandates:

All of this gives rise to the great question: what was the point? Maybe it was all a mistake and now it is gone forever but that’s unlikely. The intellectuals who pushed this project on the world have a view of the world that is fundamentally ill-liberal. They differ among themselves on the details but the general approach is technocratic central planning rooted in deep suspicion of basic tenets of freedom.

How many people on the planet have now been acculturated to top-down control, socialized to live in fear, accept whatever comes down from above, never to question an edict, and expect to live in a world of rolling man-made disasters? And was that the point after all, to breed low expectations for life on earth and relinquish the soul’s desire for a full and free life?

I'm still waiting to see your data. Here's mine:

Covid Vaccine effectiveness data from the US 2021 — did they work?

Executive Summary:
In 2021, the 75% of Americans fully vaccinated produced under 20% of the Covid deaths, while the 25% unvaccinated Americans produced over 80% of the Covid deaths.

In 2021, the 75% of Americans fully vaccinated produced under 31% of Covid cases; while the 25% unvaccinated Americans produced nearly 70% of Covid cases.

This means the US unvaccinated had a 5X higher chance of contracting Covid compared to the vaccinated per capita, and that overall the unvaccinated had about a 15X higher probability of Covid death per capita.

Note: since 'Long Covid' occurs in 15% to 25% of Covid cases, that means there is also a 5X higher prevalence of Long Covid per capita among the unvaccinated.

Details

is a CDC analysis of 25 geographically dispersed US jurisdictions. It presents statistics on Covid incidence and death rates broken up by "wave" (dates) and age, separately for vaccinated and unvaccinated. Most of the key data is in TABLE 1.

Discussion
Note that the period is Apr-Dec 2021; why? In the first quarter of 2021 we were busily vaccinating the 65+ cohort; the most vulnerable. There was an excess of unvaccinated deaths in that period and not enough vaccinated people to make a fair comparison. Including that timeperiod would skew the data to make vaccines look even better than they are.

Note that the total deaths add up to 117,207, while the total 2021 US Covid death toll was about 550,000. That is because this data is for 25 representative jurisdictions, not the whole nation. This data represents over a quarter of US deaths, so percentages from it are statistically representative of the overall US Covid situation.

Vaccine effectiveness (VE) declined from the pre-delta to the delta to the omicron waves, but vaccines still provided significant protection.
The age-standardized IRR for cases in unvaccinated versus fully vaccinated persons was 13.9 during April–May and progressively declined to 8.7 during June, 5.1 during July–November, and 3.1 during December, coinciding with the periods of Delta emergence, Delta predominance, and Omicron emergence, respectively. This decline suggests a change in crude VE for infection from 93% during April–May, to 89% during June, 80% during July–November, and to 68% during December. Age-standardized IRRs for deaths among unvaccinated versus fully vaccinated persons were relatively stable; crude VE for deaths was 95% during April–May, 94% during June, and 94% during July–November.
Booster doses were highly effective.
During October–November, age-standardized IRRs for deaths among unvaccinated persons were 53.2 compared with those in fully vaccinated persons with a booster dose and 12.7 compared with persons without a booster dose; these results represented crude VE against death of 98% and 92%, respectively.
Incidence rate ratios
IRRs were calculated by dividing incidence among unvaccinated persons by incidence among fully vaccinated persons (overall and by receipt of booster doses); after detrending the underlying linear changes in incidence
@ElwoodBlues Go read the CDC's website. This isn't about 'data'. It is about what the CDC has up on their website. If you have some fantastic data that proves..... give it to the CDC they just disagreed with you. Don't bother trying argue with me. I am just pointing out what the CDC now says.
@hippyjoe1955 DUUUDE!!! All that came DIRECTLY from the CDC website!!!
I am just pointing out what the CDC now says.
NO, you're pointing out what some self appointed "pundit" said ABOUT the CDC.

I'm the one pointing out what the CDC said!!!

@ElwoodBlues So you still can't read. Wow.
@hippyjoe1955 I read that in 2021, the 75% of Americans fully vaccinated produced under 20% of the Covid deaths, while the 25% unvaccinated Americans produced over 80% of the Covid deaths.

@ElwoodBlues Your comprehension skills are so lacking as to be a joke. So I ask you again. How much is the government paying you to spread your disinformation. Everything you have posted has been proven wrong.

@ElwoodBlues so you have to back a year to find the lies you want to believe? Wow.
@hippyjoe1955 Proof that the vaccines work: in 2021, the 75% of Americans fully vaccinated produced under 20% of the Covid deaths, while the 25% unvaccinated Americans produced over 80% of the Covid deaths.

@ElwoodBlues So the latest 100% effective victim is the CEO of Pfizer. I wonder if you remember him claiming that his vax was 100% effective in South Africa. Obviously not effective where he lives despite his 4 injections. Kind of like Biden and Fauci and Harris and...... So why do you keep denying the obvious. If you have 4 jabs and still get sick the vax doesn't work. Seems simple.
@hippyjoe1955 Nope. He never claimed that. Nice try though.

BTW, have you switched your claims away from "vaccine is more dangerous than Covid"?? That particular lie was really hard to sustain, wasn't it???
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues The CEO of Pfizer claimed 100% effective. Now after his 4th Jab he has the virus just like Biden and Fauci and Harris and Trudeau and ..... So if the vaxes work so good why don't they work so good?
@hippyjoe1955
The CEO of Pfizer claimed 100% effective
Really? Got a link??

@hippyjoe1955 As usual, you can't support your outlandish claim. You can't provide a link, and you can't follow links I provide. What else is new, <yawn>

@ElwoodBlues here is his personal tweet.

"Albert Bourla
I would like to let you know that I have tested positive for #COVID19. I am thankful to have received four doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, and I am feeling well while experiencing very mild symptoms. I am isolating and have started a course of Paxlovid."
@hippyjoe1955
The CEO of Pfizer claimed 100% effective.
Too bad you can't substantiate the above claim, LOL!!!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues I don't have to. The fact that the man has had 4 jabs then came down with covid completely destroys your narrative that the vax is needed or effective. Obviously if you can get 4 jabs and still get the disease you are wasting your time getting the jabs. The treatment he wants to use isn't effective either. Just ask Biden's doctors.
@hippyjoe1955 No, it doesn't, as my top post explains. Sorry it was too "sciencey" for you to read, LOL!!!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues So if you get jabbed every 3 months like Germany is now pushing and you get the results Israel is experiencing..... How clueless do you have to be to defend a vax that doesn't work and seems to make things worse? I see New Zealand is now having a covid nightmare after everyone is jabbed. Hmmm. Then there was the article that did the math and realized that 1 in 432 jabbed people die within a month of getting their jab. That is some serious data that you need to look at.

When will you ever get your head out of your butt hippyjoe1955. Vaccines in general do not keep you from getting sick...they only lesson the effects on your body.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@PTCdresser57 I got vaccinated against smallpox and polio... Pretty much immune to those diseases. Strange how you have been sold a bill of goods. Take measles. a few years ago there was a public announcement that everyone should avoid a local store because someone who had the measles had been there. Everyone but those old enough to have had the disease as a child. It would seem the measles vax doesn't work but here we are pumping the vaxes into kids arms. Very strange.
