Has anyone noticed this after COVID?

Your cough reflex is more sensitive to triggers than usual?

Not that you cough often but you cough easier than before.

For example when drinking cold water.

I've read it's normal after viral respiratory infections in general for up to 2 months.

It's been a month since I got it.

Good thing is my oxygen saturation is 99%.

I had it for less than a month after the worst symptoms and now I'm okay. Or as usual, because I had episodes of cough before covid too, especially in late summer/autumn. Also, If I sprint in really cold weather I feel such horrible tickling in my throat every time I draw air in that I start choking. I don't remember having this problem a few years back.

I am getting less & less sensitive I think but still.

Could be allergy?

How about when you warm up a bit?

I had that issue frequently too but I found out that when I take my sweet time warming up before working out I become significantly better. Also I have asthma so Ventolin before exercise helps a lot.

@Spica I suspect it's related to GERD if I overdo it with fruits and tomatoes in summer but maybe I have some kind of allergy too. I'm really trying to be careful with tomatoes now though.

It happens when I have to sprint unexpectedly. For example for the bus. I believe that warming up would help.
