Has anyone noticed this after COVID?

Your cough reflex is more sensitive to triggers than usual?

Not that you cough often but you cough easier than before.

For example when drinking cold water.

I've read it's normal after viral respiratory infections in general for up to 2 months.

It's been a month since I got it.

Good thing is my oxygen saturation is 99%.

Yeah, but I also haven’t stopped coughing since I had Covid. If I don’t have water w/me at all times, it can get very bad. I had it Christmas time.

@MellyMel22 Sorry to hear. Have you noticed any improvement over time? Like, even if slow.

@SW-User Thank you.. I hope you feel better.. It’s a little better I think, but not as bad as when I was sick. The only thing that helps it calm is water and mints helped when I didn’t have water a couple of times but not as easily. It’s that dry cough, but def more manageable than it was a couple of months ago. My dr gave me a med to curb the urge to cough, but it didn’t help at all and has when I was sick(not w/Covid).

Diffusing eucalyptus oil helps sometimes at night for me. I also forgot to mention that I had very mild asthma before covid and it has been acting up ever since too w/out any reason, so it could explain the cough a bit maybe.

@MellyMel22 Thank you. Getting better even if little by little often means that things are going in the right direction. I wish you all the best 🌷
