second time being infected with Covid now

trust my luck to get this a second time.
First time was pretty cool. Got a week off work and sat around doing nothing except video games, reading and drinking while barely feeling anything different.

The second time now has hit me like a damn truck.
But still, was thinking another week off work sounds great and so on except I have lost my damn sense of taste. food and drinks taste like nothing.
By far the most annoying thing when it comes to having covid from my experience. I can deal with feeling like absolute shit and being in pain but not being able to taste anything really ruins my plans for this week

anyway happy Tyr's day

Don't take it lightly it effects your lungs badly be careful
Torsten · 36-40, M
@romell I am not surprised with that
Sorry you're ill. Hope you recover quickly.

First time I got it was March 2020.

My hub got it two weeks ago, tested positive and I got it but it was nothing like 2 years ago, very mild, barely noticeable, no fever, etc. Tested negative.

@BlondilyOld thank you kindly

Hope you and your husband are all good now
@Torsten Thank you, we are!

Getting the Rona the 2nd time around is the norm.. I’m not social but I contracted it the first of this month .. get better brother!
Torsten · 36-40, M
@SW-User is it? never heard that before really. Interesting.
thanks mate. Hope you're doing well
I hope you feel better soon. Drink Vit C, Zinc and Quercetin to help boost the immune system. And drink lots of water too. Get well soon.

@CookieCrumbs thank you and keeping very hydrated

You mean your second time is worse? I was exposed to someone whose kids have covid rn and I'm really hoping I don't get it. It was very mild when I had it but I do not want to be self-isolating again.

It sounds like you may have the delta variant, if you can't smell or taste anything.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@SW-User I guess you never really know.

oh so you have had it before or you talking bout lately after being around that kid?

thanks and it does for sure. If I get me sense of taste back though I will be great haha
SW-User
@Torsten Yeah I had it for the first time in early May. I'm not vaccinated.

Apparently that loss of taste can last for ages...hopefully it won't for you
Torsten · 36-40, M
@SW-User glad there was only one day in that case that was rough on you and you were almost back to normal the next day.
I am on my second day and just getting worse but yeah hopefully it wont take long for taste to come back thanks
Keeper · M
Same here - had for a second time back in May (after two vaxes).

Get well
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Keeper thanks
glad your doing okay I assume
Statistically..........this is just the opposite from what logic tells us. In our minds...we should get a lesser case if we have had this once.........but in fact that is not the case. Viruses live in our systems....sometimes forever...once we have contracted them. Like Chicken Pox. That sucks...but if the virus re-activates..that becomes Shingles and that REALLY sucks!!!! So when we get COVID a second time.......it is starting to look like instead of our systems getting a lesser case......the second time around is much worse. The third time much, much , much worse. That means if you never even noticed you had it the first time.........the second time can knock you down hard...even kill you and the chances of it getting worse and worse for you increases exponentially the more times you re-contract COVID.

A friend of mine (a police officer by the way) has been infected with COVID three times. He said the disease feels just like a minor flue. He's fully vaccinated, maybe that's why the symptoms are not severe.
Get well soon! 🌷 <== recovery flower for you
Torsten · 36-40, M
@helenS yeah the first time i got it, it felt that way. It was nothing at all really. This time now though has been pretty rough. 2 days down though so the worst is hopefully gone by now.

getting infected 3 times is pretty bad luck. Good thing he did not get overly sick from it though
and thank you :)
TexChik · F
You didn’t vax did you?
TexChik · F
@Torsten absolutely. I haven’t had so much as a sniffle since I started taking it. Every day !
Torsten · 36-40, M
@TexChik I will look into it. Thank you
glad you found something that helps you
TexChik · F
@Torsten she had me on that and then had me on ivermectin for 5 days . I felt fine after 3 days .My hubby and kids took it too. They never caught it .
Ingwe · F
That sucks!

Where you vaccinated?
Ingwe · F
@Torsten I'm also not vaccinated. Still haven't had covid.
Ingwe · F

Torsten · 36-40, M

Confined · 56-60, M
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Confined after quickly looking it up, I may just do that. thanks
Confined · 56-60, M
@Torsten i started taking zink 2 years ago. Never got covid. Raw honey helps some also. Vit D.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Confined raw honey I have a pretty big supply of here, So will try that if it helps. Will look into zink as well
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I hope you feel better soon.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@SweetMae thank you
I'm always skeptical when people say it's worst than a cold or flu. 3 years of this fear mongering by liberals
@Zonuss covid death rates are inflated. So many normal deaths are chalked up to covid. Don't believe fauci lies
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Stargazer89 Well what killed these people. Please tell us your theory. I'm waiting. 🤔
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Stargazer89 And these deaths are random and out of the blue. You gotta do better sir.
How are you feeling now ? I hope you recovered.

I had exactly the same symptoms you described at around the same time.
Tres13 · 51-55, M
just got over the run of the mill flu & way worse than Covid.

Not Vax'd either
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Tres13 have you have covid?
Peril · F
Inject yoursejf with disinfectant?
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Peril I did that the first time and it helped a lot. Sadly i am immune to it now as I picked up a nasty addiction from it and well you inject disinfectant 3 times a day, soon enough it has zero effects on you
Peril · F
@Torsten 🤣
Wiseacre · F
Speedy recovery..ik, smell and taste are still an issue for me!
Zonuss · 41-45, M
Wow. It's one thing after another.
Get well soon.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Zonuss thats always the way it goes aye
thanks mate
