The best treatment for COVID’s symptoms for me so far 🥃
Keep in mind this is just an anecdote. I’ve tried some medications and some anesthetic cough drops, but I have to say that whiskey has been #1 in helping.
This has been the absolute worst bout of sickness I’ve had in a while. But the whiskey seems to act as a quality anesthetic. Also, the first night of severe symptoms involved me only sleeping for about 20-30 minutes before waking up coughing. Sitting up extended this to about an hour or so. But I took a hearty amount of whiskey before bed last night and found that I slept the whole night through without issue.
Also, my fiancée whipped up a nice tea (basically a hot toddy without the whiskey that I was already drinking) and that helped tremendously as well. A lot of this is common knowledge, especially with the older folks, but I figured I’d share my experiences so far.
Edit, addition: the only drawback so far is that it doesn’t help with the fever. I’ve been too hot to be comfortable the entire time pretty much. But I suppose that’s inevitable.
