International Travel

Given that on a global scale the Covid-19 pandemic seems to be getting worse do you think people should be able to travel internationally with so much freedom. I know from the UK it should be essential travel only but are weddings and funerals really essential?

I have no objection to a someone going to their parent's or child's funeral, but often the wider family will go.
When my father died we were limited in numbers within the country itself at one point we were told 9 only which was only enough for children and grandchildren.
