So I had my second shot of Moderna at 11:30 am on Tuesday.

I shopped at Wal-mart for a bit after but barely made it home. My head was swimming and I felt exhausted. by Dinner I thought I was gonna throw up and started the chills. When I woke up the next morning I didn't feel too bad. Then I moved around and realized that I was even sicker than the day before. the next two days I had a temp that went up to 102 degrees...I had the sweats and chills...felt dizzy...my throat was dusty and made me cough with no phlegm...My joints were achy. Anyone else have this problem?

It knocked both my wife and I on our asses for 36 hrs. Fever, chills, sick to our stomachs, and aches. My back pain was arguably the worst side affect that I had. Kept me from sleeping well. Had the shot on a Friday and woke up Sunday morning like nothing happened.
@SW-User yikes. sorry i didn't get notice about your response so it took longer to react. hope you both are better. did you get the metallic mouth deal? i still can't taste anything right at all.

@DIABLISS no we didn’t get that luckily. I know several people who actually had Covid and they lost their taste and smell.
@SW-User everything smelled moldy and tasted like a lead pipe. now my tongue and roof feel like i burnt my tongue but it is so much better

I had Phizer's vaccine. Second shot got chills and woke the next morning with achy muscles and joints. Two Tylenol and I was good to go in less than an hour. I was tender in the upper arm where they poked me for a few days. None of my side effects/symptoms would have prevented me from going into work.
@bowman81 not too shabby. i couldn't have gone to work like that

I got a rash on my arm after 3 days and had one day of flu like symptoms. Felt wiped out on the 3rd day,? Don’t know why my effects were delayed
@Mk8155 that's interesting...were you busy? sometimes we can stave off illness
Mk8155 · M
@DIABLISS I can’t explain why mine was delayed. I showed my rash to the pharmacist (a friend). She said yup you have the Covid arm. It will go away. And it did
@Mk8155 arm wise...i had a very sore arm but no rash or bruise...but i had all the other symptoms

Sounds pretty bad...sorry about that.
I had first shot last week.
Just made me sleep for literally 24 hours..couldn't keep my eyes open..felt OK after that.
@vorian you reacted to the first shot? make sure you stay at home and have someone check on you
vorian · 51-55, M
@DIABLISS it was last Saturday...felt fine when I woke up a day later and no probs since. Totally knocked me out for a day though.
@vorian when you have your second shot it will be worse. have someone there with you
Teslin · M
I know many people who had similar side effects.
Just shows that it is working.
It just sucks for a couple days.
@Teslin boy did it suck
Teslin · M
@DIABLISS Yes, I was VERY lucky and had minimal side effects.
jackson55 · M
Nope, no side effects at all.
@jackson55 lucky or strongy
jackson55 · M
@DIABLISS Just lucky a guess. I get a flu shot every year too.
@jackson55 maybe that helped. i don't really know
its a vaccine.. you supposed to relax and stay at home for at least a day...
@Strawberrry well, it is Friday and i finally feel human
Wow! Call your doctor pronto.
@stratosranger Nah, i am fine now.
Oh! Well very good then. Your reaction was your body’s defenses learning how to recognize and fight Covid. You now have developed the antibodies needed to fight Covid should you become infected again. @DIABLISS
