@Gangstress The discussion on the radio is that a lot of folk were feeling pressured to celebrate Christmas together, despite feeling uneasy about it, because the government seemed to be going out of their way to permit it. I suppose treasury's more interested in money going into the economy than wasted food going in bins. Ah well... I hope any excess is distributed to folk in need.
@PhilDeep I think the pressure came from themselves. I haven't seen my parents this year and didn't want to jeopardise anyone. The only pressure was put on from me debating whether we should do the 4 and a half hour journey. Including traffic, stops etc. It was simply not worth it.
Food ive said since March Why was this not going to vulnerable or homeless people They callously binned it and claimed they lost money.. I get the money loss. But that food need not be wasted . People who have overbought. There are local food bank charities throughout the UK. Its really easy to give.
@Gangstress Four and half hours is very long indeed. In any case police have been told to stop people trying to leaver Tier-4. Apparently a lot of folk legged it out of here by train last night. Not good if any were infected, especially with this new nasty strain that's got us banned from travelling to some countries :(
