Is it true that Covid 19 will end by July 2021?

Please tell me it is true because we have had enough!!! We’re on lockdown we’re we are at. My best friend said it’s true and she said when it’s over me and our other friends can come visit her (she moved to Vermont over the summer). Please say it’s true.

It's a virus !

It won't wver go away....itll just mutate.
@OogieBoogie Yeah but what are we supposed to do stay at home for the rest of our lives? I mean they said it supposed to and by next summer in vaccines are out.

@OogieBoogie They don’t mutate.... They just change, but the virus keeps the same name.
@elyay2001 Well I want things back to normal anyway. Everyone who is in unemployment can go back to work.

@TotallyValleyGirl Me too. Blame the government for the lack of support.
@TotallyValleyGirl well yeah , the vaccines may happen, humans will hopefully build a resistance.

But the virus won't go away, we'll jist find better ways to cope with it.
@elyay2001 mutate means change.

And is a common biology term for when cellular and DNA changes happen.

And yeah- hopefully we'll build a resistance to it .
@OogieBoogie Yep, my doctor said that too.
@OogieBoogie A medical student told me that we can't build resistance to this virus because there are various strands.
@Existentior that's why they're trying to make a vaccine(s)

A vaccine works by activating one's immune system under more controllable standards . (I think it's Usually a dead form of a virus)

And that's how we build resistance.

Those that have been infected naturly have had their immune systems do the same thing, and their bodies have built a resistance to it.

A resistence to a virus doesnt make you virus-proof , what it does is bump up your bodies immune response to it, which reduces symptoms and lessen it's affect on the body and eventually eliminate it from your system.

All viruses evolve and mutate .

Even the common cold does. That's w hhy even it is getting more dangerous.

Vaccines don't kill viruses, they teach the body how to.
But viruses are usually contagious, so they move on from one host to another, faster than the body can eliminate it.

And covid isn't restricted to the human species.

It will always be here, but hopefully we will create a vaccine, or our immune systems will evolve enough so that it's symptoms will be less or non lethal.
