The problem of both parents working outside

Now that kids are coming back to school,it is likely that at some point schools must close if infections appear, and parents will have a big problem if they both work outside, it would be a good time to reconsider this model of society in which both parents often have to bring a salary home.

I agree that it shouldn't be necessary to have two incomes, but I'm a little confused about how this is going to be a problem if schools have to be closed again after reopening. Wasn't this a problem for the past half year?

@NerdyPotato Yes, it already was. It is funny how there is so much talk about how covid should change our perceptions related to travel, leisure..and so little regarding this model of society we have created.
