Why do people tell me to switch up my routine?

I like my routine. I get up in the morning, eat breakfast, brush my teeth, go to school, come home, do homework, watch cartoons, play on my iPad, eat dinner, take a shower, read a book, watch tv a bit, then go to bed (before COVID happened). Now I just get up, eat breakfast, brush my teeth, go swimming sometimes, stay home, play on my iPad, watch movies and lay around. And the rest is the same. I do video chat with my friends sometimes but I don’t wanna do it everyday. My friends say we should every day. They said it’s good to have a change and switch up routines sometimes and try something new for a change. That messes up my routine and I get angry. I’m a homebody which as I don’t like to admit.
I usually got to bed at 9pm or 10pm. Even once in a while 8pm. Friends think it’s too early for 8 or 9 and I’m lame.
