That fuckin' blows. I've wondered whether or not I contracted it, the last couple of days. Tension headache and GI symptoms, but that may just be extreme stress. No fever or respiratory symptoms. We'll see. In Texas, it's supposed to be mandatory to wear a mask in public now; but, in the gyms, no one does. It's naturally hard to work out in a mask. So, hotbed probably.

As for your situation, the only help I can offer is from my own experience and a mix of Buddhist principles. Painful emotions are expressed in the body initially. If you notice the physical sensations and the feeling which is causing them, that automatically takes you out of the whirlpool.

Really great metaphor: the feels are like a river. If you jump in the river, you get swept away. If you try to stop the river, well, you can't: it's a fucking river. But, if you observe the river, by extension you are not *in* the river.

Well, not sure how much that helps, but facing such an intense situation, I feel it's quite necessary to be able to recognize the tension and fear and all that shit in your body. It has helped me a good bit.

Sometimes the sensations are too strong to watch. In that case, you readjust your focus elsewhere.

Good luck. Whatever happens, it will be temporary. This too shall pass.
