I Have Something To Say About Coronavirus / Covid19

I like how most people act like this pandemic is the Super Bowl. A lot of doctors and scientists can’t agree on certain aspects about this virus. However every self enlightened and self righteous ass hat will come out saying “this article is truth! Believe it!”

However when you post a counter argument to their articles claim which also backed up by scientists, they go on some tantrum about those doctors and scientists are wackos and are wrong.

When will this all come down to people just wanting to be right and telling others they’re wrong.
We are in an age of absolutism. People no longer think or even believe something. They KNOW it.

When they are so concrete in their knowledge, if I disagree, they KNOW I am wrong and must be silenced. That's where the shouting and name-calling begins.

Because the bottom line is, their knowledge is not built on reason, logic, or evidence, and they can't defend their position in a debate.

My opinion is, the louder, more abusive and obnoxious they become, the less sure they secretly are of their knowledge.
I agree with most of this, except the last paragraph. We’ve now reached the point that even when people see the facts are against them, they just don’t care. They’ll still cheer for their side. @Mamapolo2016
@LukeTheDuke True. My dad used to say, "A man (or woman) convinced against his will is of the same opinion still."

I would love to know the facts. Yesterday, I was reading the news, and felt very hopeful that new infections in the US were staying pretty level, and not rising much, according to a main stream newspaper. Further down my “Apple news,” another report from a different news source saying the opposite. I don’t know what, or who to believe.

@Carissimi What I hate the most is when you share the positive article and people get pissed at you for “not taking it seriously.”

I think of it like an imminent snow storm. People rush to the store, hug their TVs, and then it’s done. And we get back to life.

Of course you are correct. The only thing I can add is that any responsible gun owner will always treat a gun as loaded, even if they are sure it isnt.
So likewise it is always best to err on the side of caution with a serious pandemic, Because it just might be the worst case scenario you are looking at.
