I Have Something To Say About Coronavirus / Covid19

Here’s an idea: just a thought.

How about if we “re-open” some things - but have the people who are currently working from home, continue to work from home?

Why does it have to be everybody has to go out again, or else nobody can go out?

Why does it have to be one extreme or the other?

It doesn't, and most thinking people understand this. The problem is that many of the restrictions really are not helping. The more we can safely open the better for all of us.

The elective surgery ban in my state was to create space and save resources for the surge in Covid patients. We are the nations third worst hot spot. Yet, we are only at 1/2 to 2/3 capacity in our hospitals, Icu's and ventilators. At the same time one major health system has closed one hospital and laid off another 2500 health professionals system wide. We have surgeons, therapists, rehab specialists losing their jobs because there are no elective surgeries. That attempt to save resources ends up doing just the opposite of what was intended.

We took a lot of emergency steps, it is time to take a second look and see what we can do now that we are starting to get a handle on things.

This goes across the board....evaluate, reevaluate, and adapt to the situation.
