You cannot fully trust the numbers

Firstly China has no way given true numbers

Second many cases are not tested

@InOtterWords Testing is irrelevent. Positives don't show on test unless it's been in your system long enough to have activated. The only point in testing is the HOPE you have a positive result on test.
That way you can trace your movements back to point of possible contact.

@InOtterWords agreed. I was reading two different articles earlier one was saying that there have been a spike in cellphone cancellation since January, nearly a million.

The other was point to thousands of urns being sent to care homes.

All in all pretty sinister. Though nothing concrete as of yet.
@InOtterWords It would be nice if we could get over the Cold War tropes and stop claiming that because numbers come from a certain country they are magically more accurate then others. Can we leave it in the dust bin where it belongs?
SW-User
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Serious question, do you trust the Chinese administration?
@SW-User Serious question. Do you think any nation is magically more trustworthy? All governments do horrible and objectionable things. There are no white knights. But that doesn't make any of them cartoon evil overlords either.

And usually when you accuse someone of something you need A) a motive B) actual evidence.
SW-User
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow True, my evidence would be the Xinjiang re-education camps. If that doesn’t tell you the nature of a government I don’t know what does. Unless you need more evidence of those as well?
@SW-User The thing is if you dig into that the deeper you go the more that seems more anti soviet propaganda tropes then actual reality. And even if you accept it at face value that is child's play compared to the largest prison population on earth in the USA.
SW-User
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Fair enough, so what is your take on what is happening with those centres?
@SW-User What is your take on this?

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow will take a peek later. In work at the mo.
@SW-User This is particularly appropriate since it happened in Louisiana which is the prison capital of the world.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Just watched the video. Stuff I was already familiar with. It is horrendous. Though, I don’t agree that what is happening in China is child’s ply compared to this. Sorry.
