Does the coronavirus symptoms come on really quick?

I think I just saw my maint guy at work like 3 days ago and he was fine, then suddenly today he's got a fever, sinus issues and feels like he might have pneumonia

It usually takes around five days. Symptoms are a cough and fever generally.
