"I've Seen Fire, and I've Seen Rain..."

So ,why am I here again ?well the ads are gone.

And to announce that once again another one of my family members has been diagnosed with cancer -lung cancer.
It seems that they have caught in an early stage and I am hoping that he will not die.
But whenever the word cancer is thrown out it is a scary thing.
And our family has had way too much of this evil monster.
If you pray I ask you to prays for my family members with cancer I have a great nephew and now another brother-in-law diagnosed with cancer -the monster that took my husband and one of my other sisters partner.

Healing thoughts go out to you and the family. It is a terrible scourge.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Degbeme it just seems to be rampant in the family right now ,but then I have a very large family ,so...
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Justmeraeagain It doesn`t play favourites that`s for sure. It took my mother and brother. My daughter had a double mastectomy, my wife had a lumpectomy and I lost part of my colon to it.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Degbeme I'm so sorry that your family went through all that you really never know what someone is going through do you? 🫂
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Justmeraeagain No you don`t. You know I don`t think there is a family out there that hasn`t been touched with this terrible stuff.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Degbeme honestly, it makes you wonder .
I'm not a conspiracy theory type person, but I think they're careless with what they put into the food and the chemicals that we inhale daily.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Justmeraeagain I too have wondered that too. What I don`t get is why it is more prevalent now then when we were younger. It just seems to be within the last 20 years it has become more widely heard of.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Degbeme It is a mystery that our governments do not seem in any hurry to solve.
In the USA we have so many banned chemicals that are not banned here that it makes many of us wonder why not?
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Justmeraeagain Now that does not make any sense if it`s banned in most countries, yet still being used there.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Degbeme We did ban some color additives recently made no sense to most why they didn't go further? I can live without high fructose corn syrup for example, it is a known to be extremely unhealthy, yet, we still have it in our foods, usually cheaper processed foods.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Justmeraeagain They use the corn syrup because it has a longer shelf life and is much cheaper than unrefined sugar. Which makes no sense to me, you`d think it would be the other way around.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Degbeme there is so much food in this country- that it ends up in a bin, eventually anyway, makes no sense.
The say there is no war on the poor, but it is hard to believe.
First, with all the cheap food having the most additives and chemicals and then
most states have anti-trespassing laws so, if you are hungry and get caught taking perfectly good food out of dumpsters you can get arrested for trespassing.
So,if you throw something away it cannot be counted as theft ,but you can get it for trespassing.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Justmeraeagain That is so messed up. They`d rather it go to a landfill than in someones stomach. They have in the last few years in this province stores are donating food to food banks before they throw it out.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Degbeme Some do, but the sheer amount that is produced in the united states is almost obscene.
Some stores even poor bleach on the food or cut up the clothing and shoes they throw out.
Its really terrible and immoral in my view to be so greedy you produce more than you can use and then refuse to give it to the poor.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Justmeraeagain wow... that is unreal. They should be ashamed I did hear about fruit and veggies there left to rot on the plant because the famers had no one to pick them.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Degbeme Just let someone come in a pick them, why is that so hard?
Many working class family's have a hard time getting enough food with the food prices.
It is a cycle overproduce to the point you have too much so even if you did give it away it rots before you can give it all away. Makes no sense.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Justmeraeagain It is no different here. The farmers over plant and so much ends up on the ground.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Degbeme Sad
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Justmeraeagain Very much so and I don`t see it getting any better.
