I am a cancer survivor

In 1990 while playing volleyball, felt a shap pain in my right knee. Went to the doctor and did x-rays and mri and was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Surgery was immediately scheduled to amputate my right leg above the knee. After having leg amputated, started chemo and adjusting to life with one leg. I'm still cancer free and living life

So you were about 15 years old when you lost your leg?

Some of my family members died of cancer at a young age. Losing a leg is terrible but you are alive!

As is my wife so far twice. She had breast cancer and a mastectomy then 12 years later felt a lump and it had come back in a lymph gland and several places on her bones. She has been clear now for three years after some wonderful oral chemo and great care.🙂👍
You are very much inspiration for all of us
