Instead of working, I am resting in bed under my turkish expensive blanket.

There was a massive cockroach infestation at one of my work accommodation. I brought in scorpion poison from my farm and wiped them all out!! (Spare me the arguments about protocols in your own country)

This week, the cleaning crew had to sweep away piles of dead insects everywhere!!

I refuse to sleep in a biohazard. Work? Already have. Sleep? No darn way.I used to survive on an hour or two of fitful sleep in random rooms, terrified of anything crawling on me.

This week though after the mass purge, i brought my cozy blanket and some of my favorite things to take a specific room. Next step is getting a microwave and a mini-fridge to make it a little rest sanctuary.

In some of these hospitals, they leave the doors wide open and let stray cats wander the halls at will. We are talking spaces where post -op patients sleep.
The level of sheer negligence I've had to endure over the years is utterly revolting. And no one actually gives a duck except me.

my gf is a NICU nurse and has been for 30 yrs or so........ pretty sure there isnt a day that goes by that she isnt cursing about all the crazy shit that goes on in her unit. between the staff, supervisors, conditions, etc.
the world is lucky to have folks like you and her and the others who put up with so much so people can get the care they need.

@ReptilianFromPlanetCrush and crazy patients too

But we are more picky about where we blurt out that info.

The world is lucky to have people who can offer us a home.

Don't think I can do any of this without my partner. And I am sure she feels the same. You're her anchor.
