One ship…one rat…one plague…1/3 of the population gone.

DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Not up to the international countries. I believe it fly's the Argentina flag. That would be who would determine the fate of the ship itself. What ever country a ship's flag carries can only determine its fate, by international law.

Now pressure could be applied to Argentina. Yet that wouldn't guarantee Argentina would do anything. Argentina isn't exactly friendly with the western world.

This is why it matters what countries own what ships you take.
After Covid, do you believe anything they tell us lol 😅

@QuietReverie Best answer 🤣
@peterlee

I could say a lot but pointless. 😬

This ain’t the middle ages!
peterlee · M
@gregloa it’s a shame because they knew what to do. Think of the people of Tissington in Derbyshire who sacrificed themselves for the sake of others.

FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@gregloa Exactly. And neither is it the Plague.
peterlee · M
Four things now worry me.

Has the source of the virus been found and eliminated.

Are the medical facilities robust enough in the twenty three countries, to ensure it does not spread.

Why send the contaminated vessel to The Netherlands?

Is the response being co ordinated?
Elessar · 31-35, M
People on that ship paid 16k-25k each to be there. There's no chance they'll risk upsetting those, they'd rather risk a second pandemic than slightly inconvenience a bunch of wealthy boomers
ArishMell · 70-79, M
There is no "plague".
peterlee · M
@ArishMell Using the term to represent a vector, bacterial or virus, with uncertain outcome.
@peterlee

It’s all lies 🙄
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@peterlee I'm sure that may be the proper use of the word, but unfortunately in common speech the word "plague" suggests a sweeping epidemic wiping out large swathes of the population.
Not sunk but certainly quarantined…
peterlee · M
@Unefilletrescurieuse Can you ensue every rat will have disappeared.
@peterlee I’m fairly sure that can be attained!
