Have you known anyone who had/has amnesia?

In that, they knew your name, you knew theirs?
Before amnesia obviously.

I knew a guy that was in a car wreck years ago that lost all memory. He could walk around, go to the bathroom, do all kinds of stuff but couldn’t remember anyone or any events. As far as I know he’s still in a care center.

I apologize if this brings up bad memories.
