TRIGGER WARNING ⛔ gross, poop, sickness, blood

I know someone who's been sick for over two weeks, maybe three, with a stomach thing. Has been pooping liquid with blood, like 10 times a day or more. Has anyone ever heard of or had anything like this happen? Lab results aren't back yet but a CT scan determined no growths / tumours. They are now on an antibiotic. Giardia maybe?
