Levity aside - you don't have dyshidrosis?
I get it, particularly during severe anxiety or stress.

@basilfawlty89 I just looked it up, and that’s how it began. With tiny flesh colored bumps like that. Do you take something for that?
It says treatment is a corticosteroid, and I was prescribed triamcinolon today.
What causes it?

@itsok honestly, they're not sure.
Commom triggers are allergic reactions, stress, washing your hands too often, and lack of moisturizing. For mild flare ups, hydrocortisone cream and cirtizine pills work (Zyrtec or Allegra).

@basilfawlty89 I’ll try the steroid and maybe I’ll take my Zyrtec as well. Is yours painful, though? Mine doesn’t hurt, just occasionally itches.
I was also told to use unscented soaps and lotions, and be careful about what my hand comes into contact with that could irritate it
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@itsok normally no. Usually itches.
But obviously if you scratch and it bursts, then yeah, it hurts.

I also have to use unscented stuff.
And wear kitchen gloves if I'm doing dishes and stuff.

@basilfawlty89 thank you. I’m gonna be more careful with it now

@itsok no worries, I just thought that might be it when I saw the pics.
I know how maddening it can be
