I never get tired of your updates. I actually look for them when I log on. Thank goodness for good friends who are willing to bring you goodies daily. 😊

Yeah, several types of infections require nurses to gown up. It's no fun for anyone - but it's good - designed to stop the spread of infection to other patients. I hope it clears soon so you can get on with healing and therapy.

Hope the infection clears. They need to get you up and walking. They had me up and walking and out the door in 2 days.
Gown and mask??? Really?
Kstrong · 56-60, F
@saragoodtimes where are you doing rehab at? Moss? Bryn Mawr?
@Kstrong Encompass Rehab Center,
Kstrong · 56-60, F
@saragoodtimes expect to work hard and its exhausting, a good exhausting, may you make great strides and pay attention to what your PT and OT instructs, even if you're feeling well, dont over do it.
Hoping that infection is reined in soon. I get it .. but you need those meals to keep up your strength. Be well soon.

Aww, I know these extended stays are beyond terrible myself, sigh. I don't know your full story, but hope you mend quickly. 🌸✨🫶

Sorry to hear of your infection... sorry for not having PT, i know you look forward to getting out of the room, just for the different scenery
stay strong cutie
@FreeSpirit1 physical therapist was in earlier. put some weight on my toes for the first time. caused pain but needed to try. back to doing little stuff for muscle strength and to prevent clots and breathing exercises
@saragoodtimes hopefully you'll be home in no time
@FreeSpirit1 rehab first and then home. hopefully not a long time in rehab

Damn infections! We need that resolved soon please. 😉
@TexChik Doc says they're common after hip surgery. another concern is when the bone breaks near the ball of the leg blood is cut off and the ball dies leading to a hip replacement. so far everything looks good
TexChik · F
@saragoodtimes yep i saw that fracture and the giant screw in your femoral head on your x ray. Im glad the docs are happy. 😊
@TexChik my surgeon handles 2 college teams in the city and the Double A baseball team of the Phillies. seems like he takes a conservative approach to injuries
