The average survival term for heart transplant patients is less than ten years on average.

@DavidScott ok a cursory answer might be the age and condition of the organ donor might play a big part.
I suppose if you think about it a younger donor is likely to have less disease; is more likely to be a successful graft candidate and that in turn might lead to less anti-rejection drugs required for the recipient

@Picklebobble2 Correct. And it is likely that foundation, plus good genes in both the donor and the patent, plus good lifestyle choices and environment. An accumulation of positive factors..😷
