I find it funny because of the training I have had regarding masking for industrial applications. When ever I have taken a course in masking they have a joke mask. Pick the mask that would best protect against Asbestos. The joke mask in the quiz is the surgical mask. Pick the mask to use to prevent chemical poisoning. The joke mask is the surgical mask. Pick a mask to work in a virology lab. The joke mask is the surgical mask. Engineering is engineering. Funnily enough the surgical mask is a hold over from Florence Nightingale who insisted on cleanliness including surgeons washing their hands. Science has moved on.

The facts are that you are better off avoiding your doctor as much as possible. Don't take his medical advice on a lot of things. How many times in your life has your diet changed based on changes in what the medical establishment says you should or should not eat? How many silly vaxes have you had to prevent non lethal diseases?

N95 masks use electrostatically charged fibers to grab onto tiny particles. I can't see what dippyjoe is saying about masks, but if it's about particle size, he just doesn't understand the tech.

Life expectancy has approximately DOUBLED since the 19th century, mostly due to doctors and medical technology, despite dippyjoe's protestations.

I dont get why so many are making a big deal about a opinion a random person has. Makes no sense to me except insecurity.
If you are so confident about those masks and that they help you, it shouldnt faze you in the slightest what i would think about it.
