@HoraceGreenley Masks don't work regardless of you health condition. They don't seal and the filter element is too porrus. Sad fact and everyone wishes it were not so but engineering doesn't change based on our wishes.

@hippyjoe1955 True. An N95 mask that is fitted is probably the besty you can get.

@HoraceGreenley and even that is insufficient. A virology lab worker wears a completely sealed suit (like a space suit) with outside air that actually pressurises the suit higher than one atmosphere. If the suit gets a hole in it the airflow is out of the suit and not into the suit. Viruses are extremely tiny and to filter them out mechanically would mean the element is so fine that you would have difficulty breathing.
