Cataract surgery - Can anyone share their experience?

I haven’t had it, but worked at an ophthalmologist office for some time. They do one eye at a time and it’s a fairly quick procedure, you are awake during it. They let you go home that day pretty much right after (have someone to drive you obviously). You are given eye drops and go in for follow up and they do the other eye some weeks after.
