Had a good doctor's appointment on Monday.

He thinks my problem with coffee and cannabis is probably stemming from the sarcoidosis in my liver. Once I'm back on treatment for it, he thinks the anxiety I've been battling whenever I have them in my body is going to go away.

All of my fingers are crossed because I miss them so much. 😂

Have you ever thought of giving an anti inflammatory diet a try?

I have lupus ....well , I like to say I had lupus.
I rarely get flares any more . It's been years since I've had a major flare, and my breakouts are very small now ..and minor .

It's been a long journey getting off immune suppressents and cortisoids ...three years-ish .

One approach was being calmer ....trying to lighten my emotional load ....letting go some stuff was hard .

But the second part was about healing ....physically ...from within.

The drugs weren't doing me any good . ..well, not in the long run and the side affects.

But to cut a VERY long story short...I learnt about what causes inflammation, how it works , and what body systems get affected...and consequently how you can support those systems....and support your body's healing capacity .

Now ...I'm not 100% better ....and I prolly never will be . But I am like maybe 70%? better.

I don't always manage to stay on the anti inflammatory diet, I'm weak...I like my pasta and toast and ice cream .
But I do eat less of the inflammatory stuff , and sometimes go back a do a week or so on it to try and give my body a break and de-enflame so I don't start breaking out , having episodes and flares and breakdowns .

It is amazing how quickly the body starts to heal itself when you give it the right things. And it's also incredible for mental stress too.
Don't ask me how an anti inflammatory diet can destress you ....but it does !

I used to get sarcoidosis flares. Huge patches of it . I don't know If I got any on my organs ...the skin was bad enough .

But removing or reducing certain things from my diet that enflame the immune response and the system itself has helped a huge amount .

I'm now on no meds at all. Although I do keep an emergency supply in my fridge just in case.

It's really worth it . I can't recommend it enough .

It changed my life .
I'm not joking or exaggerating .

@OogieBoogie It's something I really need to try again and give a better effort towards this time. :) I have willpower in some areas of my life but giving up things I love to eat is so hard after having had so many other things taken away from me without my input throughout my life.

Just one of the many areas I'm still trying to improve upon myself. 😅

@iamonfire696 Definitely the beginnings of one for sure! Some of the other issues I've been dealing with seem to be resolving themselves with the antidepressants I just started back on too, so that's nice. 😌
