Is going to the doctor fun for anyone?

Going to the doctor when I was a young man: Easy to fill out paperwork on medical history, doctor says "don't worry about it, it's no big deal" to any new health concern I raise. Going to the doctor as an older man: Takes 20 minutes to list my medical history, doctor says "Uh-oh, you better see a specialist, it could be ..[insert life-threatening disease here]" to any new health concern I raise. And despite this potential life-threatening disease, a specialist can only see me 3 months from now--if I am lucky. Apparently, age is not just a number.
Could you please enjoy a healthy diet, surplus drinking water, hygiene, laughter filled life for not reaching donation centre every 3 months.

Yes, hospitals are no more than the donation centres - forced or voluntary.

Thanks. Post is cool though but make it past tense NOW on.

I didn’t mind going before but I don’t like it anymore. Sometimes my hubby comes with me and I hate that too bc he almost always says or does something embarrassing. I try to go by myself now for less anxiety.
I wouldnt know. I haven't seen a doctor in years.

I actually need to speak to a doctor but it's almost impossible to get an appointment here.
@BacarySagnasleftankle My Dad once went 50 years between doctor visits. That was a good run.

I look forward to that annual prostate exam more than I do Christmas.

I couldn't afford to go to a doctor even if I was dying.

I don’t mind going to the doctor....but I wouldn’t exactly call it “fun”.
Don't forget when you aren't available in that 3 months you need to go get a new referral and they'll probably find something else to send you to as well
@BiasForAction the reason to always make your next specialist appointment well you're there. Or else return to square 1

I rarely go to the doctor but I wouldn't call it fun. Just the opportunity to be patronised and talked down to, IMO.

You already won the jackpot. You got to see one face to face 😮
I remember as a child what I feared most about going to the doctor was the possibility of getting a shot. Now I fear getting a diagnosis that a mere shot couldn’t cure.
@bijouxbroussard me too ! I didn’t like blood being drawn either —as a child
