Jumping from a sixth story building window is now an underlying health condition.

“We deeply regret to announce that Ravil Maganov, Chairman of PJSC LUKOIL Board of Directors, passed away following a severe illness,” 0Lukoil wrote. “Ravil Maganov immensely contributed to the development of not only the Company, but of the entire Russian oil and gas sector.”

Russian news outlet RIA Novosti reported that the hospital confirmed Maganov’s death and that authorities were investigating the matter. Tass cited an unnamed law enforcement official claiming Maganov had been hospitalized for a heart attack and was on antidepressants when he died, 0according to Bloomberg.

I heard this yesterday. Very sad that we know that the Russian Powers-That-Be do this sort of thing - that people either disappear, fall out of high building windows or get poisoned - and we all see this as normal for Russia.

It's a person's life. Someone that, as I understand, wasn't happy with the whole Ukraine War business side of things.

Scary. Thank goodness for sarcasm and that I live in a free(er) country...
