@littlepuppywantanewlife Idk I think its something to do with the alcohol . Cant use vodka though must be whisky! 😊

@Cutiepi23 whisky is made of grain maybe that's why. However ethyl alcohol is also present in medicine.
@littlepuppywantanewlife you might be right on both. Good thinking! 👍

Yep....i used to work in a pet shop years ago and ive had fish. You can get something to treat the water. Let me look it up for you!!

@SW-User I recently bought something expensive and thought it would work for the water because the guy said it would work but it seems to made things worse. I'll take a pic of it later but it was like 15 bucks. I'm actually really angry. He's an old fish. He's been alive for a long time. He's a dinosaur. It's not fair.

[media=https://youtu.be/RESZo6URK4o] there should be a lot of cheaper stuff out there. $15.00 is quite expensive!!

How long did you have the fish. I'm sorry to hear about this. Do you clean the tank and check the water levels for ammonia. And other stuff with a test kit

@BeachGirl47 yes. I'm very sad.

What kind of fish is it??

@ScarletWitch does it have any little white spots on its body?? It could be Ick!! (Seriously, its a thing)
ScarletWitch · 31-35, F
@SW-User yes by the gills. But it's not severe. I see his veins and they are red. I'm so upset.

@ScarletWitch add 1 tablespoon of salt per 2 gallons of water. Don’t make the tablespoons heaping. Change the water daily about 25% and add as much salt as needed to account for the salt you got rid of by changing the water. Keep doing this for about 14 days.

What are the visual symptoms? Are there white spots on it?
BarbossasHusband · 36-40, M
Oh no 😳 I hope it improves and lives on 💖

I'm sorry. The issue with fish is that their illnesses tend to be internal, so that creates an issue by the time they show outward signs of sickness. It's not your fault, as many kinds of fish are unfortunately short-lived.
