When a mentally ill person is trying to comfort you and your own family doesn't it means humanity is in the toilet?

It just means your family might be shitty. Why even say “mentally ill”….why not say hey this person outside of my own family was trying to cheer me up while my own family cared less…Lots of people have mental illness. That’s a pretty broad spectrum. Doesn’t mean they can’t try to cheer someone up or care about people. You made yourself look a bit foolish while trying to garner sympathy . 🤷🏻‍♀️ Choose your words and wisely next time.
