Am I paranoid? Or just more aware than average?

Of course everyone is aware that we are still in the midst of a terrible GLOBAL PANDEMIC, and that infection rates for COVID are rising rapidly due to new "variants". In that context...

My workplace is just like most work-places, where there are exactly two bathrooms, one "MEN" and one "WOMEN". About half the time I walk in there (especially near lunch-time) there will be some guy washing out his mouth (not brushing teeth, washing his mouth manually) or brushing his teeth. Either way, washing mouth guy or brushing teeth guy will be spitting all over the sink, with very poor aim. If you pay attention, you will note that he's hitting the inside and outside of the sink, as well as the counter near the sink and the faucet behind the sink.

Covid is known to infect your nose and mouth, which is why we wear masks to cover BOTH our nose and mouth. The masks are not to protect the wearer, the masks are to protect people around the wearer from DISEASES IN THE NOSE AND MOUTH.

Whether or not we are being urged to wash our hands frequently to prevent covid, washing your hands frequently has always been a DARN GOOD IDEA.

But I can't help but wonder...

Isn't it kind of gross and dangerous to be washing your hands in a sink where several other guys are spitting all over it??????????????????????????????????

Paranoid? Or just AWARE?

I mean I always thought it was better to brush your teeth at home not at the workplace

@HannibalMontanimal I tend to agree with that. I'll only brush my teeth at work if I'm working an extra-long shift where I eat more than one meal at work. I don't so much mind someone brushing their teeth at work. But right now? During the pandemic? It seems "off" somehow.

@mikeylyksit It is. I don't even think people would be worried about their personal hygiene as much if it wasn't for the pandemic.
