Dreamt I was wondering around aimlessly in another mall with your voice on the other end of my call.

But you didn’t care if you were found. You were pretty nonchalant about the whole thing as I darted in one store after another trying to find you. I was left exhausted but determined…until the moment I realized how done you were. That’s when I just stood still and tried to remember where the closest exit was.


We haven’t spoken in months, and I was the one who finally pulled the plug on us trying to remain friends, something that I’ll never be sorry for having the strength and foresight to do as a past people-pleaser to my own detriment.

But I suppose it’s a reminder that even though the mind can detach enough to help heal your heart, there’s always a trace of them left behind. Could’ve done without that reminder though. Damn veggie pizza 🙄
