Watching horror movies seemed like a good idea at the time. But then night fell. And my dog decided she wanted to spend time with my son…

…leaving me alone with the hopes that my Christmas lights hanging in front of my window will protect my happy place in some way.

I’m not afraid of the big bad wolf or anything, but how is Insidious rated PG-13? And why the hell am I about to start part two of it? 🙄🤦🏻‍♀

It's really weird, because I used to love horror movies, but The Rite did me in... It messed me up for years after I watched it and I haven't been able to watch any horror movies since. I tried watching Widow's Bay, it's a new series... nope. [media=https://youtu.be/nPtuzw1PXgU]

@TransientTinkerer I’ve watched Widow’s Bay twice now. It’s that good. But I get it. We were watching the Conjuring universe movies and I was sleeping with some ghost show on when my panic attack hit me years ago. It made me shy away from anything horror until my nervous system settled.

@PerfectionOfTheHeart there’s a lot out there I’d love to watch. Maybe I’ll be able to again one day
