Curious as to why some people would choose the “friend zone”

@Ghostinthemachine I think my particular brand of wonkiness serves me well there. If I like someone, I like them, and even if I might think it would be nice to be found attractive in their eyes, I’m aware of the benefits of the friend zone where I just get to enjoy knowing them without all the romantic noise and my own basic discomfort with attention.

I thought about the end zone, but I’m a terrible dancer. 🤭
