I Don’t Understand Why I Lost 5 Pounds This Week….

I’ve been eating more fruit every day, Turkish yogurt cheese on gluten-free bread that I made, red meat every day, less salads (but cooked green veggies etc), beans, some rice, and other starches, and if I feel a bit hungry I’ll have a snack. I had been cutting back on carbs in order to lessen my blood sugar levels. But this morning I checked my blood sugar and it was 92, which is about 15-20 points lower than last week.

Time for a pet scan?

@TexChik I’ve got an MRI and C-T scan scheduled this month. I have to wonder if it had something to with me drinking lemon and water 3 mornings and eating avocados and some other things that help flush the liver. Avocados also help with glutathione and it and lemon juice helps with cancer. Problem with me is that I can’t have lemon juice every day because it irritates my bladder if I do, otherwise I wouldn’t miss a day.

@TexChik The cancer returned and I had a P-T scan in July. Two weeks before Ray was diagnosed with lung cancer. We both started chemo in August 2 days apart.

@cherokeepatti Ugh! I hope its under control.

Donating my uterus seems to have done the trick thus far.

@TexChik Oncologist says they can’t do surgery, don’t qualify for immunotherapy, and no more radiation. Using chemo to try to shrink the tumors. And doing genetic studies to try to find a match for a genetic study treatment that will target the tumors. Haven’t had a match so far for a study but the doctor who is over the genetic center told me that new trials are coming out all the time and they will continue trying to find a match. In the meanwhile I’m eating so many vegetables I feel like a cow in a cabbage patch.

@cherokeepatti hahaha. I stay away from the carbs myself. Protein and dark green veggies are about it.

@TexChik I hadn’t eaten any gluten-free bread for more than a month. Was starving for it and made some yesterday. Obviously didn’t make me gain weight. I think the resistant starch in the GF flour mix was beneficial.
