Has anybody here used hot peppers for breathing problems?

My next door neighbor was taken to the hospital this morning because she couldn't breathe. She has COPD.

Has anybody found hot peppers, whether fresh or in another form, helpful?

Sounds serious. Two of my neighbors died of COPD. Terrifying how fast they transfered from seemingly just fine, like overnight.

Do they use OTC Flonase? J jmagine that hot peppers may have the same effect, but check with a real .medical authority. Somewhere I heard that treating the upper respiratory parts like the sinus prevents infectious gook from dripping down the throat and infecting the lungs.
