That might be. It is easy to get so used to the taste of salt, that we forget "how" to taste the actual food without it. I think it is like our eyes adjusting to the dark when the lights go out. At first, we can't see anything. But we adjust.

I'm sure you know loss of taste is associated with Covid. Have you had Covid recently? They say taste & smell will return after Covid but for some folks it'll take 18 months or more.

Are you at a high elevation? That makes tasting difficult.

@HollyW Lol. No. Thanks for assuming such? 🤦♀️

@perceptivei Thanks for assuming that I assumed. Maybe you don't know what high elevation is. It means on a mountain or in a plane. Are you sure you're perceptive?

Oh I used too much salt myself, never had that problem though, less the time when I got the virus.

I don't know, but tbh everything i eat tastes so fricken salty to me since covid.. 🤮
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Bang5luts That's why I don't think it's an issue of salt. I know when I can't taste salt. And, I LOADED it down with salt, and i still couldn't taste a thing. Urgh. Now I'm going to blow up like a balloon tomorrow for no freaking reason. I mean, I couldn't even taste it. 😒 Urgh!
