Is it true that being overweight prevents you from getting full from eating?

So basically im hungrier because I have a large stomach? I am trying to loose weight because I have a bit of fat in the middle is that why I don’t get full and are hungrier? I’m not morbidly obese. Is it because I have some fat around the middle@Tempest

@MyLegGuy2020 if you were to fast for even a day you'd probably notice you get full quicker because you've given your stomach a chance to sort itself out. Not recommending fasting by the way, just using it as an example
