What's with all the 'accept being fat' posts today?

Dispute it all you like but it's unhealthy to be outside of the set of parameters set by healthcare authorities.
Yes you have to have a level of control and no it's not nice.
Yes I battle with it just as much as anybody else contrary to what people who meet me think;
"You don't have to worry about your weight."
"Well if you mean I'm very careful about my diet, run 40 miles a week, and I'm still a stone overweight. Yes I don't have to worry about it at all."

It is okay to [i]accept[/i] being overweight. Just don't try to say that it is healthy; that is my only gripe about it.

Accept and own the health risks just like you accept and own the fat.

I don't like when people try to overwrite well documented science with philosophical fantasy.

It's is okay to be fat. It is not healthy to be fat, but it is okay.
