I don't get it I eat around 1,200 calories a day and go to the gym everyday but nothing is working.

This is gonna sound really annoying but I don't think you should try to get bigger.
Work with what you have. When you get to 30 we'll actually depending on your genetics your metabolism will slow down and you will start to fill out.

I wish I respected my size 6/8 body more. I had no body hang ups.
Now its a laughable memory.
Also make sure you wear a decent bra. Invest and get fitted properly.

Best wishes to youm

@IAmNothing OK when you go to the gym what are you doing? Classes or weights?
Have you changed your diet at all?

@Mellowgirl Elliptical then all around weights for an entire body makeover. Cardio is hard because of asthma. Diet is pretty much eating next to nothing. Living off slim fast shakes and eating one actual meal a day

@IAmNothing oh boy. I'm gonna have to get you to lay off the shakes. Weight watchers food generally is a part of a healthy diet not a replacement the moment you go back to regular food the weight will flip back on. And I mean flip cos it doesnt creep.
OK so the things you need to be looking at are sticking to the most basic of food.
You want carbs have potatoes roasted or boiled for example no mash as your adding things to it.
Proteins in the form of chicken, even ham and fish. Avoid shop bought sauces to go on top always make your own. Avoid adding honey.

You should finish your meal after you've had steamed veg with some salad.
Dressing can be olive oil with lemon or balsamic vinegar. But sparingly.

Drinks avoid energy drinks, anything milky or fizzy (bloat, added weight, dead energy)

If you have coffee have it black and reduce the amount you have to max 2 cups a day.

Don't eat after 7pm

And do treat yourself to something you like, ice-cream or cake for example 1x a week.

You can have rice but try brown, you should introduce legumes and lentils and things like this.

Fruit is better as a snack at around 11, after something like oats for breakfast.
Also don't add raisins or any dried fruit.

This isn't a diet plan this is a guide to helping you switch up what you're currently doing.
It will seem boring at first but you want to get the most out of the ingredients in their natural form until you reach. Your goal then you can slowly introduce a bit more.
Also take your multivitamins.
