How do ppl stay all skinny back then in the 60s and 70s without all the current gym craze and fad diets?馃馃馃

No gyms, no fad diets, ppl ate normal food just like us nowadays (with all the sweets, junk and whatnot), yet somehow overweight ppl were nearly non-existent back in the 60s and 70s.馃槍馃槍馃槍

Meanwhile ppl nowadays r counting every calories they put into their mouths, going 2 gyms regularly and deliberately starving themselves day after day with all sorts of fad diets (like keto, cico, paleo, carnivore, intermittent, liquid etc.) yet ppl somehow still manage 2 stay fat nowadays.馃槱馃槱馃槱

I lost 35 pounds in three months on a moderate to low carb diet. I'm not keto but I don't think it's fad dieting in the least. Paleo is moderate carb but involves healthy carbs, protein and fat, pretty balanced. I'm sure you can have grains if you want but it's not a necessity.

Also when fat was demonized they replaced animal fats with vegetable oils and more sugar. Sugar is addicting and that also led to obesity rates skyrocketing. It was in this era they saw more obesity, not less.

I highly recommend this link:

@SatanBurger The processed food industry is notorious for adding sugar until a test group no longer likes it, then backing off a tad (so many %). Something which was a treat became its own food group, essentially.

@SomeMichGuy The sugar industry is heavily linked to soda corporations also. There was an article about how cola has its own science division.

@SatanBurger And odd that the US allows high-fructose corn syrup in them...which is pretty bad AND has a very bitter after-taste, unlike the real sugar products (Pepsi keeps changing the packaging on its "real sugar" Mtn Dew, but there is no comparison on it to the crap with the corn syrup).

Odd that one has to go to the "Mexico" aisle of a grocery to get, say, Coke with real sugar.
